Highschool department celebrates teacher's day
To give tribute to the hardworking teachers of the High School Faculty, the high school students celebrated Teacher's Day last January 25, 2001, held at the school chapel and was done by giving gifts to their teachers.
The said event started at around 7:15 in the morning by having first a mass led by Rev. Fr. Ferdinand V. Fornilos, OAR, the high school principal. Although the mass was done very fast for it has no Homily, the students were very exited because the much awaited giving of their special gifts to their teachers is soon to come.
After the mass, the much awaited part of the celebration started. Rev. Fr. Fornilos first gave an inspirational message to the students and teachers.
The first intermission number was given by Ms. Jessa Alvarez of II-St. Nicholas of Tolentine with the song "Looking through the Eyes of Love". The giving of gifts to the teachers was done while Mr. Freddie Lacorte of IV-St. Augustine was singing "What Matters Most" and "Tanging Yaman". The last and alive performance of Mr. Rene Aquino of IV-St. Joseph and his song "Ang Lahat ng Ito'y Para sa Iyo", got all the attentions of the students and teachers.
After the celebration, some students are still with their teachers, hugging and kissing and some even shed their tears. Also, the teachers and together with Rev. Fr. Fornilos, had taken pictures also inside the school chapel.
