Hawks rules over APC

In order to prepare our team for the NCAA South, SSC-R held an invitational game in basketball last September 13. We invited the team of APC Corporation, from the Cavite Export Processing Zone.

For the first half, SSC-R Hawks started well as they pulled off their lead. APC had a slow start. As the first half ended, the score was 40-18 in favor of the Hawks.

At the start of the second half, APC team had their rhythm but still the APC team cannot outdo the great plays of the Hawks.

As the game goes in the midway of the second half, the Hawks ballooned their lead to 32, their biggest lead in the ballgame. The score was 55-23. The APC couldn’t stop the power moves of SSC-R’s center Aster Abueg, plus the great game of Arnold De Ocampo and others. The APC had its own run in the dying seconds of the second half but still, the run was short for them to overcome the lead. The final score as the ending buzzer sounded was 70-50. This was a great sign for the San Sebastian Hawks in the upcoming NCAA South.   By Sidney H. Umban
